Happy Friday, Everyone!!
It's time for Book Blog Follow Friday hosted by Parajunkee.com and The Book Blogger Hop hosted by Crazy for Books!
My Answer: OMG Team Jacob!!
My Answer: I have to connect with the characters and actually care what happens to them. If not, I try another book instead.
If you're visiting for the first time, I'd love to hear from you, so please leave a comment and say hi!! :)
Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend ahead :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the connection - or at least a reaction - I need to feel something for the characters, if not it's better to just try something else.
ReplyDeleteHi Carrie! I'm a character person too, I have to love them or hate them or somehow connect to them or I have trouble staying interested:) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had felt like thinking because Jacob is the best answer there is.
ReplyDeleteTEAM Jacob all the way.
Nice choice with Jacob! For the movie, I'm definitely team Jacob :) Here's my FF!

Hi there:
ReplyDeleteNew follower here. Come on over to my book blog KK's Booksurfing Paradise at http://kkbparadise.blogspot.com
These book blogger hop questions just get better and better. This one looks easy but I think it’s a trick question. We all know it’s the same answer – the writing – but we all have different perspectives of what good writing is.
ReplyDeleteHop on over to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net and read my three-prong answer as I explain why I’ll decide to pick up a book or put it down in under sixty seconds.
Happy July 4th Weekend!

Thanks for following my blog!!
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time reading a book when I don't care about the characters, but I'm also not a fan of not finishing a book. Blah. ;o)
Thanks!

I am your newest follower on GFC. My answer to Book Blogger question:
ReplyDeleteI started reading a book the last month and it was suppose to be a very good book. But after giving it a couple of chapters I just couldn’t get into it. I put the book aside to read another day. I don’t like to do that because I feel as if my mind might have had too many distractions and I didn’t give the book a chance. So I always try to wait for another day to give it another go. I have so many other books calling to me from my to-be-read list that it can really be distracting. READ ME! READ ME!
I prefer reading and reviewing Christian Fiction but I do read a varity of other books. I just can’t handle too scary or gory. Suspense and Mysteries I like. No explicit adult books either if I do find one I really want to read I just skip over the x-rated stuff. So what genre do I read?

ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I must connect with the characters as well. I also agree about Jacob (although I like Paul just a bit more).
