TGIF April 27

Happy Friday, everyone!

I haven't participated in TGIF for a long time.

Hopefully I'll be able to find some new blogs to read!

If it's your first time here, please leave a comment and I'll come check out your blog too!

TGIF Answer: When I get in a reading slump, I try to read a book outside of my regular genres. Usually it's so different, I snap out of my slump.

I don't generally read outside my genres, but I will switch between genres to beat the blues.

  10. When I'm in a reading slump, I take a break and read some fluff or write. Or, I visit all the blogs on my blog list posted on my blog and see what they're reading. And I go through my google reader. As a very last resort, I do laundry, but it's gotta be really bad!

  11. I love your header! I see you like the blog designer Itkupilli too. She is AWESOME.
When I hit a slump I check out brand new blogs at random to see what they have read. I also like Twilight fan fiction, its a guilty pleasure of mine :) That seems to help me clear the cobwebs.
If I have to I will begin a brand new book until I am feelin the one I lost interest in.
    new follower. Have a gr8 weekend <3

  12. I agree with the person above me, I adore your header! The entire color scheme of your blog is gorgeous, actually. (and I'm a new follower :))

Changing genres usually doesn't do it for me, I feel when I'm all slumpy (for lack of a better word haha) I don't connect as easy to a genre outside my usual. I'm wondering if that's mostly because even though I'm a contemporary reader, I read tons of different genres at once -- which is sometimes what puts me into a slump.

Thanks for stopping by my post!

  13. For a reading slump... I usually either try something really out there or go back to some well loved book, usually Harry Potter.

  14. A good way to get out of a reading slump! I usually try doing something completely unrelated to reading so that I miss it and want to start again. Have a great weekend!

  18. New follower. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I don't get into reading slumps. The only time I am not reading is when I can't decide what to read next due to my huge tbr.
