This week I chose:
"The False Princess"
by Eilis O'Neal
EgmontUSA
Release Date: Jan 25, 2011
The following description is from goodreads.com
Princess and heir to the throne of Thorvaldor, Nalia knows her role in life. But everything changes when she learns, just after her sixteenth birthday, that she is a false princess–a stand-in for the real Nalia, who has been hidden away for her protection. Cast out with little more than the clothes on her back, the girl now called Sinda must leave behind the city, her best friend, Kiernan, and the only life she’s ever known.
While struggling with her new peasant life, Sinda discovers that magic runs through her veins–long-suppressed, dangerous magic that she must learn to control. Returning to the city to seek answers, she instead uncovers a secret that could change the course of Thorvaldor’s history forever.

This one I've seen before, and I'm curious as to why they'd cast her out, it seems like it would be more wise to either keep her around (in case they need someone to cover again) or kill her. I'm interested to read this book and find out their reasoning!
ReplyDeleteCheck mine out HERE!
It's on my Christmas Wishlist!
ReplyDeleteThe cover fits so well with the design of your blog!

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a good book. It's usually the peasant girl that discovers she's really a princess so I like the idea of reading the other side of the story
ReplyDeleteI agree with Simcha, it is a nice twist. And this certainly sounds like a good read. I'll have to add it to my Waiting list!
