Waiting on Wednesday (64)

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and it is a way to show off the books you can't wait to be released!!

This week I chose:

"Between the Sea and Sky"
by Jaclyn Dolamore
Bloomsbury
Release Date: Oct 25, 2011

The following description is from goodreads.com:

For as long as Esmerine can remember, she has longed to join her older sister, Dosinia, as a siren--the highest calling a mermaid can have. When Dosinia runs away to the mainland, Esmerine is sent to retrieve her. Using magic to transform her tail into legs, she makes her way unsteadily to the capital city. There she comes upon a friend she hasn't seen since childhood--a dashing young man named Alandare, who belongs to a winged race of people. As Esmerine and Alandare band together to search for Dosinia, they rekindle a friendship . . . and ignite the emotions for a love so great, it cannot be bound by sea, land, or air.

Oooh, another book about mermaids!! I love it! The cover is so gorgeous too! Can't wait to read this one.

What are you waiting for this week???

  1. Yeah, I'm the first to visit this time ;) Doesn't happen too often.

I've been seeing some debates about this book. How she looks like she is in the sky but she is a mermaid. So, I want to see what all the hub bub is all about. Great pick.

  9. I got this scheduled for a WoW post in two weeks xD. So I have to say great choice! I love mermaids and I always love those artworks that feature an impossible love between a mermaid and winged man :). I saw one beautiful picture depicting it on a t-shirt once but the thing was sold out -sigh-
