  1. My moment was when I found an audio book copy of Friday's Child.
I had tried to read the book before but had to return it to the language institue before I even read much of it.

The audio book was a revelation, I loved Hero and Sherry and Sherry's friends, and I was surprised to find it was such a funny book, I was laughing so much, and with so much glee.

    :D

  2. I ran across Georgette Heyer's books in the library as a teenager. They were the first romance books I read and I read every one the library had. Since I loved history, and I've always been a sucker for a happy ending, I loved them. It's been quite a few years since I read them and it would be great to revisit the stories and read them again.

  9. Okay, confession time! I actually have not read her books, but I own a few titles already. My historical fiction friends rave about her so, of course, I'm on a mission to collect her books. Thanks so much for the chance!

I "discovered" her because I was chatting with a fellow book blogger, Christina from A Reader of Fictions, and she commented that she thought Heyer's romance was classy for their covers (looking like an Austen classic). And I ended up curious about Heyer's work.

  21. I discovered Georgette Heyer by Googling 'authors like Jane Austen'. I then went to the local library and borrowed 'The Grand Sophy', the only book of hers that they had. It was a lonely point in my life when I discovered her, and she cheered me right up and made me feel hopeful.

    I've never looked back!

Following you on GFC as Cathie Maud!
